Take off from a plan

The way professionals do it: load your plan — a scan, a photo, or a clipped page — set the scale off one known dimension, then traceareas, lengths and counts over it. The tool does the arithmetic; the measurement is yours. Nothing is scraped from the pixels, so there’s no wrong number pretending to be a fact.

Scan, photo or a clipped area of a plan (PNG/JPG). Read in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Load a plan image to start. First set the scale off a known dimension, then trace areas, lines and counts.

What this does, honestly

  • You set the scale. A scan or photo has no units — calibrate off a dimension you know, and every trace becomes real metres.
  • You trace, the tool measures. Same model as AppliCad and PlanSwift: the human reads the plan, the software computes. Accuracy is limited by the image, so check against figured dimensions.
  • For exact geometry, use a DXF. If you have a CAD file, import the DXF — it carries real units and needs no tracing.
